These two were for Rhode Island Monthly. The top was a spread for a story about an Italian grandmother who had a separate kitchen built in her backyard so she could feed her large family.
The second is a map of Federal Hill, Rhode Island's Little Italy.
This one was for Nautilus, one of my new favorite publications. Nautilus is an online science magazine that uses a ton of illustration. Every issue is a new theme and each week they release a new chapter on that theme. This issue was "secret codes," and the theme was "codes between people."
